The trimester ends Thursday! :(

Adult Roles
We finished up the last couple presentations and then began watching The Ultimate Gift. Tomorrow we will finish the movie. Wednesday is the STATE TEST!!! Thursday is our last day and I've got something good planned but it's a surprise!

Clothing
Tomorrow is our last day to sew! Hopefully ya'll will finish! Wednesday we are taking the STATE TEST! Thursday is clean up day, and maybe we'll have extra time to have a fun activity!

Adult Roles
We started our Review project today. Remember your presentation should cover all information from your packet. It also must have a poster to help present. Everyone must present. Each group must have 5 key points and 5 review questions. You will have to have a 5-10 minute presentation. We will be presenting our projects the end of tomorrow and the beginning of next week.

Clothing
We will be reviewing BIG TIME tomorrow for the state test. Come prepared to think!

Adult Roles
Amy from CAPSA came to talk to our class about dating violence and rape. She gave an interesting presentation. Students were required to write five things they learned and turn it in. Hopefully, you learned many more than five things.

Clothing
We studied for the state test and then we worked on our projects.

Adult Roles
We finished Cheaper by the Dozen and discussed parenting styles we noticed as we watched. We learned about self esteem in children as we completed a powerpoint and took notes. Make sure you study hard for the state test. We only have a few days before we take it!

Clothing
Working today was worth 25 points. Hopefully, you were all working. We only have 4 more days to sew. Make sure you get your projects done and turned in in time!

Adult Roles
We learned about child abuse and how to soothe an infant. We enjoyed hearing stories about the Baby Think it Over! assignment. After we discussed signs and symptoms of abuse, we created a Prevent Child Abuse Advertisement. Tomorrow we will discuss parenting styles.

Clothing
We have lost a pair of shears! We need to find them ASAP!

Adult Roles
Today we finished our Prenatal Definition worksheet. We signed up to take babies home sometime this week. If you do not want to take a baby, you can do the alternate (Rent a Kid) assignment. This assignment is worth 100 points so make sure you do it!

Clothing
The semester is coming to an end. Make sure you have a project that you can finish. Wednesday we will begin studying for our state test. We finished Mrs. Haslam's quilt! YAY!

We got an update on what happened while students took babies home. We started a Prenatal Definitions worksheet. We will finish it on Monday. At the end of class we made Gum Guy Cupids for Valentines Day! Have a great weekend! Be safe and have fun at the dance!

Adult Roles
We had Mrs. Lange come teach us how to take care of our Baby Think it Over Babies. 11 students took them home for the night (GOOD LUCK!). We taste tested baby food parfaits (rice cereal with pears) and a few brave souls tasted baby food chicken. We read Where Willy Went. We discussed what happens month by month as babies develop. It was interesting to see the actual size replicas of babies for each stage of prenatal development.

Clothing
I recieved lots of projects to grade! Way to go.

We introduced Empathy Bellies. Remember to bring back your release form if you want to wear one for 10 points extra credit. We also learned about the cost of a child as we played "Baby Price is Right."

Adult Roles- WEDDING DAY!
Since we just finished planning our wedding, we had a class wedding today. We completed half of a "Points of Discussion Worksheet". Remember to find someone to help you finish that worksheet. We had wedding cake, and lemonade. We finished up today watching a video "Marriage News You Can Use."
Come tomorrow ready to learn about GENDER ROLES!

Clothing-

Today we finished up our wedding planning assignment in the CELF lab. For those of you who were absent, or didn't finish, it will be due Friday! If you worked hard you should have finished.

Today we started off talking about being ready for marriage (wksht. Are Your Ready For Marriage?). We also talked about being engaged, what to expect, and obtaining a marriage license (handout). After that, we finished up our Want Ads (40 pts.)

We continued working on our projects. We decided that we would make a quilt for Mrs. Haslam as a class. We will be starting that soon.

Hello Students.
Adult Roles
Today we talked about marriage. We started out by reading Fanny's Dream. Then we discussed theories about marriage (worksheet 15 pts.) and marital risks (notes 10 pts.). We finished up by starting a marriage want ad (40 pts.). You will have time to finish this tomorrow.
If you were absent yesterday, you'll need to take "The Ladder of Love" notes (10 pts.). Let me know if you need some to copy.
